Mineral Makeup
that is not just Mineral
Are you getting what you pay the extra $ for?
Mineral makeup should be as pure as they all claim to be, but are they truly what
they say they are, or is it all just 'jumping-on-the-bandwagon' blatant promotion.
A couple of truths:
Mineral Makeup should list Titanium Dioxide, Zinc & Mica as their 1st three ingredients.
This pure mineral makeup is more expensive than Talc filled makeup because Talc is a cheap product filler (that also fills our pores!)..... Some brands have worked out an advertising 'grab' of "Contains no Talc" however they substitute the Talc for Kaolin Clay. Kaolin Clay has very similar properties to Talc
(both moisture seekers) - Great for deep cleaning masks but not so good for pore filling foundation!!!
So why do some Mineral Makeup brands still contain inferior coverage Talc or Kaolin Clay?
ANSWER: To make a bigger company profit
Bismuth-Oxychloride is a by-product of refined lead...... Hmmmmm, not a good idea to use anything even remotely linked to lead on your skin !!!!!!!
So your job for today is to read those pesky little
ingredient lists (sometimes designed in tricky 2 part
stickers on the bottom of the product) and check
if you are truly using what you paid premium $$ for.
